In 1960 Adriano Chiomento
started up as a dairy products wholesaler in a small storehouse
of about 10 square metres in his father's house situated
in Via Corradini in Thiene.
His business, which consisted in attempted sales, was
exclusively concentrated in the area of the Altopiano
di Asiago and Valdagno and involved offering dairy products
to various local retailers on a daily basis. Good will,
a business-oriented approach and hard work led to a considerable
growth of the business. In 1971 Adriano Chiomento moved
to a new storehouse of about 350 square metres with a
capacity of about 7,000 Asiago whole cheeses and began
a whole series of considerable changes: large distributors
became his customers, there was a shift from the system
of attempted sale to ordered deliveries, new staff were
employed, there was an increase in the kind of products
sold. In 1987 the firm became a company called CA.FORM
srl. With the realisation of the Single Market and the
broadening of the sector, new structures and facilities
were required and in 1991 a new project was accomplished
with the construction of a new building of 5,000 square
metres, on two floors, |

with highly advenced
aeration, refrigeration and packaging systems, which allowed
for a perfect seasoning and conservation of about 30,000 whole
cheeses of Grana Padano and Reggiano Parmesan and of 50,000
Asiago and similar cheeses.
Today, in the year 2000, technology, computer science and information
are the key words for the future development of every company:
CA.FORM is perfectly aware of this and is following this direction
with great enthusiasm. |
